Beaujolais

Beaujolais, located in the heart of France, is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning rolling hills and lush valleys, Beaujolais' vineyards cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cool, refreshing breezes from the Saône River play a major role in moderating Beaujolais' vineyards, sending fog and chilly air across the region. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive in the northern part of the region, producing delicate and aromatic wines, while further south, the warmer, sun-drenched areas yield bigger, bolder wines. This diversity of conditions allows Beaujolais to produce a wide range of wine styles, each reflecting the unique character of its growing regions.
