Il Giardino

2008 Delle Venezie Chardonnay

Casa Vinicola Antonutti Il Giardino is a delightful expression of Chardonnay hailing from the esteemed Delle Venezie region. This vintage showcases a medium-bodied profile that dances elegantly on the palate. The wine offers bright acidity that enlivens its character, making it refreshingly crisp and mouthwatering. Aromas of stone fruit and citrus blossom are complemented by subtle hints of minerality, creating a harmonious balance. The fruit intensity is pronounced, revealing layers of juicy pear and apple flavors that linger gracefully. As a dry wine, it serves as a perfect companion for a range of culinary delights, from seafood to creamy pasta dishes. The craftsmanship behind this vintage reflects the exceptional terroir of Delle Venezie, making it a noteworthy experience for any wine enthusiast.

Region:

Delle Venezie

Part of the larger Tre Venezie IGT area, delle Venezie offers high quality and more regional character through tighter production rules. The region covers the Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Trentino areas—a large swathe of northeastern Italy lying between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. Fresh mountain breezes and cool sea air help temper the sunshine here and maintain fresh acidity in the wines, while day-night temperature variation brings aromatic intensity. As well as Pinot Grigio (which accounts for seven out of every ten bottles made), Pinot Noir does well too. Also look out for sparkling Pinot Grigio Spumante and Frizzante.
