Fiocco

2010 Salento Fiano

The Fabiana Fiocco 2010 is a delightful Fiano from the picturesque Salento region, known for its sun-soaked vineyards and rich terroir. This white wine boasts a medium body that elegantly balances its vibrant, refreshing acidity, creating a mouthwatering experience. Its fruit intensity is prominent, with lively notes of stone fruit and citrus that dance on the palate, inviting you to explore further. The wine is also wonderfully dry, a characteristic that accentuates its crispness and makes it an excellent companion for a variety of dishes. With its harmonious blend of flavors and textures, the Fabiana Fiocco offers an enjoyable sip that reflects the best of Salento's winemaking heritage.

Region:

Puglia
Puglia

The heel of Italy's "boot," sunny Puglia (the "g" is silent), is famed for its olive oils, almonds and of course, its rich, full-bodied wines. Although dry and intensely hot in the summer, Puglia has coastlines on three sides, providing cool Mediterranean breezes to alleviate the daytime heat. Primitivo (known in the US as Zinfandel) does well here, with other popular red varieties including Sangiovese and Negroamaro. But it is not all about reds in Puglia: the local Fiano grape produces gloriously nutty, tropical-flavored white, while Falanghina makes intensely fruity wines with citrus blossom notes.
