Edda Lei

Salento Chardonnay 60% Muscatel 20% Fiano 20%

San Marzano Edda Lei is a delightful white blend hailing from the sunny Salento region. Crafted predominantly from Chardonnay, with a touch of Muscatel and Fiano, this wine offers a harmonious fusion of flavors. The blend showcases a lovely balance of fruit-forward notes, moderate acidity, and a touch of delicate dryness. The color of this wine is a beautiful pale gold, reminiscent of the sun-kissed vineyards where the grapes are grown. The San Marzano Edda Lei is a true expression of the vibrant and diverse terroir of Salento.

Region:

Puglia
Puglia

The heel of Italy's "boot," sunny Puglia (the "g" is silent), is famed for its olive oils, almonds and of course, its rich, full-bodied wines. Although dry and intensely hot in the summer, Puglia has coastlines on three sides, providing cool Mediterranean breezes to alleviate the daytime heat. Primitivo (known in the US as Zinfandel) does well here, with other popular red varieties including Sangiovese and Negroamaro. But it is not all about reds in Puglia: the local Fiano grape produces gloriously nutty, tropical-flavored white, while Falanghina makes intensely fruity wines with citrus blossom notes.
