Deux Soldats

Walla Walla Valley Petit Verdot

Deux Soldats Deux Soldats from Walla Walla Valley is a striking expression of Petit Verdot. This full-bodied red captivates with its intense purple hue, offering a rich bouquet that prominently features dark fruit notes—think blackcurrant and blackberry—balanced by intriguing hints of tobacco and violet. The wine's acidity is bright and lively, contributing to a pleasingly structured profile while firm tannins add depth and complexity, making it a standout choice for those who appreciate powerful, well-crafted wines. Crafted in the renowned Walla Walla Valley, known for its ideal grape-growing conditions, this Petit Verdot is both a testament to the region's winemaking prowess and a veritable delight for the senses.

Columbia Valley
Columbia Valley

Sheltered by the rain shadow of the Cascade Mountains, Columbia Valley is home to the majority of Washington's vineyards. Cool nights keep zippy acidity in the grapes, while long daylight hours give the fruit plenty of chance to ripen. This results in full-bodied Merlot, elegant Cabernet Sauvignon and deeply concentrated Syrah. White wines are just as tantalizing, with toasty oak-touched Chardonnay and ripe stone fruit-flavored Riesling taking the spotlight. Sub-AVAs to look out for are Yakima Valley and Walla Walla. The Columbia Valley is one of the only appellations in the United States to occupy vineyards in two states, as it crosses the Oregon border in the southern part of the valley.
