Del Barba Vineyard

2010 Contra Costa County Zinfandel

The Neyers Vineyards Del Barba Vineyard Zinfandel from the 2010 vintage hails from the picturesque Contra Costa County, a region known for its sandy soils and warm climate that beautifully complements this varietal. This red wine showcases a delightful medium-bodied profile, exuding vibrancy and liveliness. With a medium level of acidity, it offers a refreshing quality that enhances its food-friendly character. The fruit intensity is prominently expressed through luscious flavors of ripe berry and plum, accompanied by intriguing hints of spice and earthiness that are characteristic of the varietal. Tannins are well-integrated and provide a firm structure without overshadowing the fruit, resulting in a balanced and enjoyable experience. This Zinfandel is dry, making it a versatile choice to pair with a range of dishes or simply to savor on its own.

Central Coast
Central Coast

California's Central Coast might be a bit quieter than Napa or Sonoma to the north, but this lesser-known region produces many world-class wines. Enjoying incredible terroir along its vast 280-mile stretch—from San Francisco Bay to Santa Barbara—Central Coast wines are increasingly in demand. Its position between the Pacific Coast Ranges and the Southern Coast Ranges is key to its quality, with many cool-climate AVAs offering elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. In the hotter parts of the Central Coast, away from the coastal fogs and cold mountain slopes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre are exceptional.
