Clark & Telephone Vineyard

2009 Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir

The Belle Glos Clark & Telephone Vineyard Pinot Noir from the 2009 vintage is a stunning expression of its Santa Barbara County terroir. This elegant red wine showcases a full-bodied profile with a high level of acidity that brings brightness and liveliness to the palate. With its pronounced fruit intensity, it exudes luscious notes of ripe black cherry, raspberry, and subtle hints of earthiness that beautifully complement the wine's complexity. The tannins are notable yet refined, contributing to a smooth and structured mouthfeel that balances the fruit-forward characteristics. This wine is also beautifully dry, making it an exceptional food-friendly companion for a variety of dishes, from roasted meats to rich pasta.

Region:

Central Coast
Central Coast

California's Central Coast might be a bit quieter than Napa or Sonoma to the north, but this lesser-known region produces many world-class wines. Enjoying incredible terroir along its vast 280-mile stretch—from San Francisco Bay to Santa Barbara—Central Coast wines are increasingly in demand. Its position between the Pacific Coast Ranges and the Southern Coast Ranges is key to its quality, with many cool-climate AVAs offering elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. In the hotter parts of the Central Coast, away from the coastal fogs and cold mountain slopes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre are exceptional.
