Cinquenoci

Puglia Primitivo

Tagaro Cinquenoci is an exquisite Primitivo hailing from the sun-soaked region of Puglia, where the warm Mediterranean climate fosters the growth of intensely flavored grapes. This full-bodied red wine showcases a deep ruby color, inviting you to explore its rich character. The mouthwatering acidity balances the wine beautifully, enhancing its overall vibrancy while allowing the bold fruit intensity to shine through. Expect luscious notes of black cherry and ripe plum intertwined with hints of spice and a touch of earthiness. The tannins are notably structured yet smooth, giving the wine a firm backbone without overwhelming your palate. As a dry wine with a captivating finish, Tagaro Cinquenoci promises a delightful experience that pairs wonderfully with hearty Italian dishes or simply enjoyed on its own.

Puglia

The heel of Italy's "boot," sunny Puglia (the "g" is silent), is famed for its olive oils, almonds and of course, its rich, full-bodied wines. Although dry and intensely hot in the summer, Puglia has coastlines on three sides, providing cool Mediterranean breezes to alleviate the daytime heat. Primitivo (known in the US as Zinfandel) does well here, with other popular red varieties including Sangiovese and Negroamaro. But it is not all about reds in Puglia: the local Fiano grape produces gloriously nutty, tropical-flavored white, while Falanghina makes intensely fruity wines with citrus blossom notes.
