Columbia Valley Chardonnay

The Obc Wine Project Chardonnay hails from the stunning Columbia Valley, a region known for its exceptional winegrowing conditions. This white wine presents a beautiful golden hue, enticing the eye as much as it delights the palate. With a medium body, it strikes a harmonious balance that makes it incredibly food-friendly. The acidity is bright and refreshing, invigorating the senses and enhancing the wine's overall liveliness. On the nose and palate, you'll discover a prominent fruit intensity, featuring notes of crisp green apple, zesty citrus, and subtle hints of stone fruit. The wine is dry, allowing the complex flavors to shine without any sweetness overshadowing them. The tannins are delicate, providing a light structure that supports the wine's vibrant character while ensuring a creamy finish that lingers pleasantly on the palate. This Chardonnay is a perfect choice for those seeking both elegance and approachability in a glass.

Columbia Valley

Sheltered by the rain shadow of the Cascade Mountains, Columbia Valley is home to the majority of Washington's vineyards. Cool nights keep zippy acidity in the grapes, while long daylight hours give the fruit plenty of chance to ripen. This results in full-bodied Merlot, elegant Cabernet Sauvignon and deeply concentrated Syrah. White wines are just as tantalizing, with toasty oak-touched Chardonnay and ripe stone fruit-flavored Riesling taking the spotlight. Sub-AVAs to look out for are Yakima Valley and Walla Walla. The Columbia Valley is one of the only appellations in the United States to occupy vineyards in two states, as it crosses the Oregon border in the southern part of the valley.
