Yountville

Situated in the heart of the Napa Valley, Yountville is a small but prestigious AVA known for juicy red wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. While you will also find some Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc here, the red wines are far more prolific. As the AVA sits exactly halfway between the southern slopes of Mount St. Helena and the northern shores of San Pablo Bay, it has an ideal mesoclimate that is perfect for growing Bordeaux grape varieties. The hot days and cool nights help fruit ripen slowly while retaining plenty of sparky acidity. The result is elegant red wines with concentrated fruit flavors and silky, food-friendly tannins.
