Bianco

Salento White Blend

Trefontane Bianco is a delightful white blend hailing from the picturesque Salento region, where the warm Mediterranean climate lends itself to the cultivation of excellent grapes. This wine showcases a vibrant and refreshing character, with a light to medium body that maintains an appealing crispness on the palate. Its acidity is bright and invigorating, adding a mouthwatering quality that perfectly balances the wine’s fruit intensity, which is notably prominent with flavors of citrus and stone fruit. The overall impression is one of a food-friendly, versatile white, delivering a joyful experience that pairs beautifully with seafood dishes or light summer salads. With its dry profile, Trefontane Bianco is an inviting choice for those seeking a refreshing sip that captures the essence of its Italian origins.

Region:

Puglia
Puglia

The heel of Italy's "boot," sunny Puglia (the "g" is silent), is famed for its olive oils, almonds and of course, its rich, full-bodied wines. Although dry and intensely hot in the summer, Puglia has coastlines on three sides, providing cool Mediterranean breezes to alleviate the daytime heat. Primitivo (known in the US as Zinfandel) does well here, with other popular red varieties including Sangiovese and Negroamaro. But it is not all about reds in Puglia: the local Fiano grape produces gloriously nutty, tropical-flavored white, while Falanghina makes intensely fruity wines with citrus blossom notes.
