2015 Puglia Fiano/Falanghina/Greco

A Mano Bianco is a delightful white wine from the sunny region of Puglia, crafted from a blend of Fiano, Falanghina, and Greco grapes. This 2015 vintage showcases a vibrant bouquet of citrus fruits and stone fruits, enhanced by floral notes that invite you to savor each sip. It boasts a well-balanced profile, presenting a refreshing acidity that invigorates the palate and complements its medium-bodied character. The mouthfeel is smooth and elegant, with a bright, fruit-forward intensity that lingers beautifully on the finish. This wine is dry, making it an excellent accompaniment to a variety of dishes, from seafood to light pasta. A Mano Bianco is perfect for those seeking an authentic taste of Southern Italy.

Puglia

The heel of Italy's "boot," sunny Puglia (the "g" is silent), is famed for its olive oils, almonds and of course, its rich, full-bodied wines. Although dry and intensely hot in the summer, Puglia has coastlines on three sides, providing cool Mediterranean breezes to alleviate the daytime heat. Primitivo (known in the US as Zinfandel) does well here, with other popular red varieties including Sangiovese and Negroamaro. But it is not all about reds in Puglia: the local Fiano grape produces gloriously nutty, tropical-flavored white, while Falanghina makes intensely fruity wines with citrus blossom notes.
